Valentines Day 2014

Hello lovelies! I hope you all had a great Valentines Day! Mine ended up being really special and I feel so blessed to have such am amazing boyfriend. I had a fun time and wanted to share it with y'all since this was my first year ever having a Valentine.

The day began as Christian picked me up from my University after classes and we drove to my hometown. He had then "dropped" me off at my house so I could get ready to go to dinner. When I opened up the door to my room there was a surprise waiting for me on my bed. He had bought me a new dress and left me a cute note that told me to look downstairs. When I arrived at my staircase, he was standing at the bottom of the stairs with gifts in his hands. He had bought me chocolate and a Katy Perry Perfume. It was a nice surprise since I had thought that he had gone home to get ready. The dress ended up fitting perfectly and was exactly what I wanted! After that we had some time to kill before dinner so we took cutesy photos.

For dinner, he took me to a fancy seafood/french restaurant called Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen. I had never eaten there before so I was excited to try it out. I ended up trying tons of new foods and enjoyed spending some quality time with my love.

First, for an appetizer we had frog legs, crocodile and calamari. I had never tried any of these foods before so I was really excited. The crocodile was my favorite of the three. It tasted really similar to chicken. I was surprised when I saw the frog legs because I wasn't expecting them to be as long and a big as they were. I wasn't a big fan of the taste. It tasted like chicken and fish mixed together, which was confusing to my tastebuds. It also had a weird after taste. At least now I can say I've tried frog legs! The calamari was tasty, but I couldn't get over the fact that I could see the tentacles.

For the main coarse, Christian ordered Red Fish with mushroom risotto.

I ordered Tilapia fish with squash and shrimp.

Then for dessert, we ate Creme Brûlée while sipping coffee.

It was odd having coffee at night, but it
was nice. It was hard to narrow it down to one dessert because instead of having a desert menu, they had a dessert platter with a display of all the desserts to choose from. Seeing all the desserts in person made me want to order them all!

How was your Valentines Day?
