DIY Valentines Day Nails

My nails and I have a love-hate relationship. From a young age, I was a tom boy and hated painting my nails. Then I found a world of beauty and girly things and fell in love. I remember some of the first nail polish I ever received was from my cousins. They gave me a small box filled with about 20 polishes, some of which I still have today. (I really need to go through my makeup and beauty supplies and throw stuff out) Around this time, I also started doing gymnastics. I had to keep my nails short or else I would cut myself while on the bars. I also wasn't allowed to wear nail polish to competitions because it was considered a distraction to the judges. Now that I'm in college, I've been able to experiment more with my nails and am learning how to take care of them. I have even grown them out a little so that they no longer look stubby. Since I'm just learning, my nails look no where near professional and I have to go get a mani if I want them too. Mani's are expensive however, so I've been useing little tricks and tips I have picked up, to do intricate looking designs on my nails. In honor of Valentines Day coming up and because of my new found love for nail polish, I wanted to share with y'all a really simple & easy Valentine nail tutorial.

What You'll Need:

Two Nail Polishes / Heart Hole Puncher / Piece of Paper

Nail Polishes I used:

Sally Hansen / #120 Hot Magenta

 Revlon / #925 Gold Coin

First paint two coats of your base color and let dry.

Next cut the piece of paper into a little square and punch a hole in it. This will be used as the stencil to make the hearts on the nails.

Lastly place the stencil on your nail and paint over it with your second color. It's that simple!

I placed the heart on my ring finger and thumb, but you can choose to place them wherever you like and even put more than one heart on each nail if you want!

Did you try out this nail tutorial? E-mail me/ Tweet me/ Facebook me a picture of your recreation! I'd love to see how it turns out!
